ADVOCACY
Members of the Nebraska epilepsy community participate in statewide and national efforts to increase awareness of epilepsy and funding for epilepsy research and services.
Speak Up, Speak Outis a grassroots advocacy network that connects citizens with their federal elected officials on issues of national importance to the epilepsy community.
Chris spent about one and a half days in Washington, D. C. this past April, with the Epilepsy Foundation's Kids Speak Up! program, joining more than 50 teens across the U.S. petitioning congressional leaders for more research and public education. The trip helped Chris to see the big picture, and helped showed Chris he was not alone.

Kids Speak Up!is a national conference for youth leaders with epilepsy. It provides 7-16 year olds with a unique opportunity to educate elected officials and staff about seizure disorders.

Adult & Family Support Group is held from 7-9PM the 3rd Tuesday of each month except December for adults and children with epilepsy, and their families and friends. programs and speakers.
